Learning Journey tomorrow will take place from 8.15 a.m. to 12.15 p.m.
Pupils are to bring:
1) light snacks
2) pencil case
3) cap/umbrella
4) story book (morning silent reading)
They can keep the story books in their lockers just before they depart for the trip.
5) water bottle

They need not bring any textbooks or subject materials. Their lesson from 12.30 p.m. to 1.30 p.m. will be Mathematics and no books are required for tomorrow's lesson.

English: We started on a new text - Canoe's Diary. Pupils are exposed to a different type of text apart from the usual narrative text. Some of the terms we introduced were:
- haul
- hang aroudn
- The footsteps headed off into the night

Mathematics: We have embarked on the topic of Factors and Multiples. Today, the pupils were mainly involved  in listing factors given a number. Tomorrow, we will be proceeding to find common factors given two numbers.

The magazines were developed by fellow mathematicians to make Mathematics fun for the pupils! At P4, the magazines will also focus on problem-solving skills. Pupils are strongly encouraged to subscribe to these magazines and to practise on the problems during their free time.

    The learning journey will be during curriculum time. Pupils will report to school at the usual timing. They will have their recess break at the external venue itself. Lessons will resume after the pupils arrive at school. They will be dismissed at 1.30 p.m. as per school hours.

First day of school has just ended and I hope the kids have had a great day! We have started collecting books and files and namely, they are:
1) English Listening Comprehension and Oral
2) Primary Four English CASCO
3) Targeting Mathematics WB 4A
4) FAN-MATH Process Skills in Problem Solving
5) English File (any purple file)
6) Maths file
7) Science File
8) Social Studies 4A Activity Book
9) Spelling Book (one exercise book)

Today, the pupils have also been given:
1) Timetable
2) Letter to Parents
3) Student Medical Form and Profile Form (to be submitted tomorrow)
4) Spelling List (note the error in Ruby's Sunflower week. It should be Week 6 and 7 respectively)

There will be temperature-taking on Thursday and hence I will start collecting thermometers from the pupils from tomorrow onwards.
